Annie Gurton

MA (Psychotherapy), BSc (Hons, Psychology), BA(Hons, Humanities), MHGI, MBACP, MCAPA NSW, MBPS
Psychological Therapist and Couples Counsellor
Psychotherapy and Relationship Therapy. My MA dissertation was in Therapy for Victims and Survivors of Domestic Abuse, and I also frequently work with those who are anxious, depressed or addicted and dealing with debilitating fears, phobias and grief.
I swim daily in the ocean (with Manly Bold and Beautiful) and enjoy spending time with my growing family, made up of adult children and grandchildren. I love being in Nature and tending to my garden, reading and watching movies.
I have been working as a Psychotherapist for 15 years but specialised in couples counselling and relationship help for the past 5 years. I also teach Counselling and Relationships at Australian College of Applied Psychology and am also a PACFA Registered Supervisor.

I am particularly interested in the effects of childhood trauma on adult relationships and am doing a Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution to become a qualified Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.

Previously, I lived in the UK and India, spending six months in Cornwall and six months in Goa.
