I arrived in Australia in 1996 as a young engineering student from Guilin, South China. All I had was 700 dollars and a suitcase. Struggling to find affordable accommodation, I discovered this was Australia's biggest problem.
Working out of a garage with my friend Michael Zeng, we co-founded iBuild in 2014. Today iBuild's 20-strong team create over 100 kit homes and modular buildings a year for residential, commercial and government clients across every Australian state and territory.
We are proud that we have helped hundreds of Australian families to realise their dream of building and owning an affordable home. Our Australian-made homes have proven popular not only in Australia but also worldwide, from the South Pacific to West Africa. This led to us winning the 59th Australian Export Awards.
