I co-founded DUNK in 2004. We're a small business based in Brisbane and produce and supply basketball uniforms to a wide range of playing groups throughout Australia.

What makes us unique? We manufacture all orders locally within our own local workshop, a rare attribute in a market punctuated by super cheap offshore production. Whilst our pricing point is at the high end of the pricing scale, we remain an industry leader by offering exceptional quality with sharp turnaround times, which in turn gains considerable consumer trust.

What problem did we solve within the sport? Communication and time. No dealing with middle men, everyone speaks directly with the producer - us! If someone needs an order super quickly, we can make and deliver it within 48 hours, no waiting for a package to be delivered from overseas. The increased convenience to clients is significant and an excellent selling point.

Why did I help found the business? Easy, I LOVE basketball and wanted to engage basketball fans and supply them with the BEST basketball uniforms in Australia :)

Personally I'm 38 years old and have been basketball-mad since I was 12. I've played at a junior representative level, refereed at at state and national levels and previously worked for a number of years with the Brisbane Bullets directing game night entertainment. There are very few things within the game I haven't had a taste of!

Given my passion for the sport, starting our business was an easy decision! While there is plenty of hard yakka and long hours involved, I genuinely enjoy every day of work and nothing ever feels like a drag. I have a strong interest in continuing to learn about business trends as they evolve, particularly relating to social media marketing and customer satisfaction.
