I started Grafico from my "Nonna's garage whilst studying BA of Design at Monash University and things have certainly grown since then!
Grafico is now a household name when it comes to custom print wallpapers, wall graphics and high quality design. We proudly design and print right here in Australia and now ship our products all around the world.
Whilst daily I work with large brands such as Louis Vuitton, Lexus, Dutton Group and large hotel groups to name a few. You might recognise me from the great deal of fun I have working as an official sponsor of "The Block" TV show.
I've been the ‘go to’ walls advisor to “The Block” TV show contestants and have appeared several times over 9 seasons. I'm often seen on camera offering design advice to the contestants creating amazing bespoke wallpapers, art and even custom print tiles to both indoor and outdoor spaces and I'd like to say myself and my team have been a part of some very iconic and memorable moments on the show always pushing the boundaries of design, production and of course crazy lead times as is life on The Block.
When I'm not onsite running projects around Australia, or on set of “The Block” you’ll find me in our state of the art showroom & production warehouse in the inner-city suburb of North Melbourne where we’ve operated for many years …. Certainly a far cry from Nonna’s garage!
Grafico ‘walls’ products are designed and manufactured in Australia, removable and additionally are commercial grade/high quality. Products are sold around Australia and now (due to the popularity of our online store) even reaching other areas of the globe as many customers love the style of products that myself and my team have designed and curated. It’s always surprised us how many “Block” fans are located around the world, as the show airs in other countries after Australia.
Whilst I initially started Grafico on my own, my wife Adele joined the company originally to ‘help’ and 10 years later we are running a successful business together whilst also growing our family of 2 girls. So we are well versed in the challenges of running a successful business whilst juggling a family especially over challenging times like Covid where the business initially suffered and then pivoted, coming out of Covid a refreshed business and a household brand.
Our point of difference is we design the majority of our products not just printing supplied imagery etc. creating a true customised experience. I live and breath design in daily life whether it be though work, architecture, automotive/cars etc. Whilst i'm not tied to one style - I'm a huge mid-century modern fan and have designed the interiors of our office in that style - think a modern take on a Madmen set with an emphasis on our favourite colour "Grafico Orange".
Grafico was awarded the City Of Melbourne's "Small business of the year" through the "Lord Mayors Small Business Awards" by Lord Mayor - Sally Cap in 2022. Additionally we have been awarded several times over the years through our industry association “ASGA” (Aust. sign and graphics assoc.)
