Mark Perry is a Digital Identity and Open Banking executive and thought-leader in the Asia-Pacific region, with over 30 years’ experience in the Information Technology industry.

He was a member for two terms of the Australian Government advisory committee for Consumer Data Right, Australia’s Open Banking standards body, from 2018–2020, and continues to be involved in the ongoing definition of those data sharing standards.

Mark speaks regularly at industry events around the world to evangelise digital identity and open data trends, and is a strong advocate for consumer privacy and modern cybersecurity methodologies. He writes regularly on these topics and has been interviewed on camera and for podcasts.

His career highlights include industry leaders Ping Identity, IBM, Netscape, Sun Microsystems and Oracle, delivering and consulting on major Digital Identity projects across all industry verticals. He is a founding member of the IDPro organisation, and has a B. Eng. from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia.

He writes fiction as well as on work-related topics, and is currently writing a semi-autobiographical account of his time playing keyboards in synthpop and new wave bands in the mid 80s.

Mark is a proud member of the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League.
Mark is married with two children and two step-children, all of whom are now adult, and lives in Melbourne, Australia.

His interests include golf, live music, theatre, and travel. Mark’s favourite whiskies come from the Islay region of Scotland. Being a born and bred Melbournian, good coffee is essential.
