I am a mother of three young children and love to travel. We are often travelling and use home exchanges to help us do so. I love to read (obviously!) and paint, I like going for walks and keeping fit, especially since I had my third recently at 40. I love trying new food and wine, and any fun activities we can do together in Sydney as a family.
Dr. Allison Greenland is the founder and facilitator of Leap into Literacy, a program designed to help children become engaged in reading and writing through creative techniques. She has a PhD in Education focusing on Curriculum and Teaching and holds a Master’s degree in Education. Allison has many years of experience working with students who have learning disabilities, special needs, and who are gifted and talented, and she also has a TEFL certification and SPELD certification.

Her research has focused specifically on reading comprehension strategies for adolescent students and successful learning techniques for students of all abilities. Allison has fifteen years experience as a Primary teacher and also as a Gifted and Talented teacher for both Primary and Secondary students, as well as a Creative Writing teacher for adults. Her experience also lies with teaching students with an ESL background and facilitating courses for teachers focusing on literacy and special needs.

She is an astute communicator with a genuine passion for education and research. She is technically savvy with outstanding relationship building, training and presentations skills. She made the move in 2013 to focus solely on Leap into Literacy while raising her three young children.
